Q: Why was IE5's 3px wide cell in the insane asylum smaller than IE6's 3px wide cell?

A: Because the width of the cell included the padding.

Please use a browser that follows the W3C standards more closely than Internet Explorer. Thank you.

About

I grew up as a "mini pencil artist" until I became skilled enough to fully concentrate my abilities through digital design. I accelerated through the basics and my experiential pace began to deepen with Flash, lots of designing and some light programming.

When the internet evolved into the Web 2.0 era I quickly transfered my unquenched artistic desire to a thorough understanding of UX in the interactive design experience. As a result, I mastered HTML according to W3C standards. I abandoned Flash, picked up some PHP and JS along the way, and began to condense my aesthetic talents in production design.

When Web 2.0 became a commercialized collective luster I noticed that websites were getting more and more crudely unimaginative as the internet's most progressive and prized websites were designed in mass by front end programmers. Feeling an inventive urge I began to cultivate my artistic facination towards bringing clean cut, intricately creative web design back into existence. By merging the ideas behind Web 2.0's usability and remembering the old ways of open minded design freedom I have managed to eliminate the overly logical synthesis habitually used by the majority of Web 2.0 elitist while still holding onto their core values.

The technical background afforded me not only a very practical understanding of natural limitations and bounderies, but also how to break through a lot of those limitations and bounderies; this knowledge has enhanced my ability to integrate how people interact with the digital environment and the practical application of making a design work and knowing when and how to push the evelope from a realistic standpoint on all levels.
